Betfair is one of the smaller online poker rooms currently available to our players, with a user base approximately 3000 strong. Hold Em is the main game being played at the tables, but Omaha and Blackjack are available as well.
Tournaments are a mixed bag at Betfair. There are plenty of variations to choose from, with freerolls and guarantees seeming especially popular. Sit-n-go's revolve around a higher than usual buy-in, with $30 sit-n-go's more commonly played than their $5 or $10 counterparts. Overall however, there seems to be a fairly decent spread between buy-in limits, though you might have to wait a few minutes more for one of the lower buy-in sit-n-go's to fill up.
Betfair's software client is responsive. The animations are fluid and the tables scale well, with crisp text and images at all times. Buttons in the upper right corner allow for quick layout changes wich could be particularly useful for those that prefer playing on multiple tables at once. Aesthetic customization, however, is limited.
